Artist Statement
The concept of beauty has evolved from Plato's ideal of absolute beauty to Aristotle's focus on natural imperfection. Modernists favored elitism in high art, while postmodernists merged high and low art. Architecture has significantly contributed to carbon emissions, prompting architects like Neri Oxman to explore "Material Ecology" with natural materials, while Do Ho Suh reflects his hybrid identity through polyester fabric installations.
Conceptual art has broadened the definition of visual art, allowing for ideas that transcend traditional techniques. My artistic journey has shifted from Aristotelian to Platonic aesthetics, now focusing on organic-shaped digital and stereoscopic works.
I view art and philosophy as intertwined, reflecting how diverse identities can unite for survival. Beauty should be understood as a force that sustains our planet, and artists must use their knowledge of art and philosophy to advocate for social change and environmental sustainability.
