Ontological Duality of Art: Case Study to Mother and Son

I was mentored by artist Noh Sang Kyoon to explore the intersection of art, sculpture, and philosophy. My thesis reinterpreted the 'foreground' of artwork not as mere appearance, but as a dynamic, dialectical layer pointing toward the Platonic eidos. By integrating Hegelian sublation (Aufhebung), I argued that the artwork’s foreground represents a movement toward the realization of Spirit (Geist), progressively actualizing its Kantian noumenal reality.
